LaPine Real Estate and Area Information

LaPine is located about 29 miles south of Bend, in the southern part of Deschutes County.  The city was named LaPine because of the abundance of Pine trees in and around the city.  LaPine offers many outdoor activities, in fact the town slogan is "The Outdoors at Your Front Door".  The Big and Little Deschutes rivers flow near the city.  Paulina and East Lakes, Northeast of town, are known for their great fishing. 

LaPine is also located a short drive from the Cascade Lakes Highway.  The highway winds through many mountain lakes such as, Wickiup, Crescent, Cultus, and more.  Some lakes allow ski boats, while others offer fishing from non-motorized boats.
