Northwest Crossing is a unique subdivision located on the West side of Bend Oregon. Northwest crossing offers a great community lifestyle. Nestled in the Pine trees on the westside, NWX includes parks, paths, restaurants, shops, and schools. Although the subdivision is not far from Downtown Bend.
The subdivision is pedestrian friendly. On a evening walk you'll find children out playing in the parks, people sitting on their front porches, and many community members strolling the subdivision. Many people that reside in Northwest Crossing feel that they don't really need to leave. They're friends with their neighbors and love the atmosphere. Northwest Crossing includes 32 acres of parks for the communities use. There are 4 parks in total. The parks include paths, play structures, and a covered pavilion.
All homes built in Northwest Crossing are required to be Earth Advantage certified. Earth Advantage is a "green" certification. Northwest Crossing is committed to making the entire community sustainable. This includes the commercial buildings. Two of the retail building received the LEED-CS designation at a silver level.
Walk, Bike, Shop, and Dine in Northwest Crossing. You'll see plenty of pedestrians out and about in the community. Whether its the Saturday Market durning the summer, or mid-week winter afternoon, you'll see people around the community center. The center includes a highly recommended restaurant, La Rosa. One of my favorites!
