The town sits at 3180 ft above sea level, and has a population of 1706 residents, (however, the population within the Sisters school district is approximately 15,000). The town boasts a Western theme, and is home to many Horse ranches.
Like all other Central Oregon cities, Sisters offers all kinds of recreation and beauty. Many rivers, creeks, and lakes are a short drive from town. Fishing, canoeing, boating, and swimming are among the activities that these bodies of water have to offer. Sisters is also home to Hoodoo Ski area. A short drive west of town, Hoodoo offers short lift lines and great skiing.
